Exporting Portrait Video Without Stretching the Picture

How do you fit portrait output without stretching subjects?

Preserve the subject's native proportions and choose framing that fits the portrait composition. Filling a 9:16 canvas by stretching a landscape image distorts faces and objects; useful layout or deliberate reframing is preferable.

Put it into practice

  1. Identify the final delivery shape before deciding how each camera should cover the subject.
  2. Test the available Fuse composition with a face, a circle or another object whose proportions are obvious.
  3. Review the saved portrait export and retain intentional spacing when it protects important action.

Choose readability over a filled rectangle

A landscape demonstration can carry useful hand detail within a portrait mosaic. Judge whether the viewer understands the task rather than whether every pane fills an imagined template. When a destination needs a different shape, plan that deliverable explicitly; VidFuego's portrait Fuse export is not a promise of arbitrary aspect-ratio output.

Questions creators ask

What should you inspect for distorted proportions?

Inspect a face, straight object or familiar shape in the export. If its proportions changed, revisit the layout or external reframing rather than accepting a filled canvas.

Can a landscape camera contribute to a portrait Fuse?

It can provide useful detail through supported orientation-aware layout. Rehearse the actual composition instead of assuming every source should become a full-frame vertical crop.

A mistake to avoid

Cropping every source to fill the frame can cut away the information a second angle was meant to show.

Before the full take

Review a saved portrait export at phone size. Check faces, demonstrations, interface overlays and audio together before uploading the same file to each destination.

Record a short test, review the picture and sound, then adjust the setup. A rehearsal on your actual devices is the quickest way to check whether the workflow fits the scene.
